Man, just practiced 2 hours without being aware of the time! I played a few lines of the piece until I hit a less than beautiful sound, then played those bars until they sounded clear and clean. I moved to the next few lines and did the same thing. I also did some trill exercises to improve the sound of trills because there are a few in the piece. I also played scales in 2nd position because that helps me develop muscle memory in my fingers to play in tune. I had to stop because the chin rest started to hurt my neck and gave me one of those hickey looking things.

Sounds as though you are practicing pretty efficiently. Isn’t it great to get zoned out when you’re practicing?

It sure is Laurie, sometimes when my boyfriend is playing guitar, I’ll join in and play the melody. We played around 1 1/2 hours and had fun!
