Is the use of two finger scales the best way or is it better to practice the scale in a 1-2, 2-3, 3,4, etc pattern? It seems I’m taking forever to be able to get intonation on the d minor scale just right.

I prefer practicing them in a tune. It is more fun that way.

What intervals are you practicing? Sixths?

For me, I think tuning the violin helps practicing double stops! It’s not about the left hand fingering, but playing two strings at once. Does it sound even when you play? Do you emphasize on one string more than the other? The hardest strings to play together for me, are the A and E strings..
