    Hi everyone,

In this video, I play a few popular tunes that exemplify the Irish style of fiddling. Enjoy!

I need to better develop the Irish ornamentation in my fingers, and bow control for those fast reels.

Which of your violins are you using when you play the Irish Fiddle songs? Do you use a different violin for classical and another one for fiddle songs? Which of your violins is a good violin to play both on. Thank you.

I love Irish fiddle songs, but my fingers tend to stumble over themselves if I go too fast.

My youngest daughter (12) recently learned to play ‘Drowsy Msggie’ in her violin lessons- just in time for St.
    Patrick’s Day! 🙂

I think Irish fiddling is a nice ‘filler’ for string players as they develop into their playing skills and techniques.
