    Hello there,

So I’m following the beginner lessons here at the site. I’m taking my time to perfect all slowly before I move on to the next lesson. Right now I can play Jingle Bells quite okay. I’m just struggling with the tempo. When I set the Metronome to 60 it’s sooooo slow I can’t really feel the music. I set it to 69bpm and I still feel it’s slow.

Any recommendation to what tempo should I play at this stage?

Hi Ishe7ata, can you point me to the Jingle Bells video that you’re trying to play? If it feels slow, how about speed it up to a comfortable tempo, then tell me what bpm you are playing at. If you have it under control and are holding your violin and bow properly, and making a good sound, my general rule is that bpm is not important. If I can watch the video, perhaps I can give a better suggestion. There are so many videos! I tried to find it but I couldn’t find it after scrolling through two pages. Thanks in advance!

I see so BPM is not important as long as I’m making a good sound…. I played at 69 but i was playing even faster.
In the coming days i’ll record myself and upload it here to get some feedback…

    thank you so much….

BPM is not important unless that is the goal itself, to achieve a certain speed. You’re very welcome!
