    Hi all.
I bought today a bridge for my violin and it was a kind of expensive. It is an aubert mirecourt A and i paid about 38 euros.
Can somebody tell me if it is a good shopping and what is the differences between mirecourt A and others cheaper aubert bridges ?

i can’t tell you anything about that, but do you know anything about why they aren’t glued down?
cause i’ts pretty annoying when they just pop off and leave scratches on your wood

They aren’t glued down because then your violin will loose its sound. It needs to be able to vibrate to produce the sound. So, never glue down your bridge!!!

When I get a new bridge I was taught that you have to cut them down. Is this true because I have been cutting my bridges for a long time.
