    What are the tuning dots on the violin neck really clled? Where are they placed?

    Don’t fret

    These are fun aides and have their place. With my students, I actually use auto pinstriping tape to mark where standard fingering is. All of them are helpful little “cheat sheets” to quickly find notes and placement. If you don’t have access to a teacher to customize sticker placement, I’d recommend getting something like the “don’t fret” solution above. It’ll be useful until you find yourself not needing to look anymore. Then you just rip the band-aid off! 🙂
