    In this video, I discuss the creases on fingertips after a practice session. For the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers, creases should start at the middle of the fingertip and point down toward the thumb. On the pinkie, the crease starts a bit lower, on the outer side of the fingernail. It’s a little different for everyone.

    I also discuss the disconcerting, although sometimes subconscious, discomfort of E string finger placement, due to the fact that half the finger is not in contact with the fingerboard. This is something you just need to be aware of and overcome without changing your hand set up or angle.
