Ok, I got brave & took my finger guide off the neck of my violin. Now can’t get all the tape residue off. I have tried Petz Rosin remover, which is a great cleaner, safe for varnish, but I still have goo. Any suggestions?

    Hi Christie,

I use guitar polish on a cotton swab to remove tape goo from the neck and fingerboards of rental violins. Some of the goo was pretty old and dirty but the polish did not damage the neck or fingerboard. Good luck!
