Hi all. I came upon an old violin and bow (it even had an old ratty case, maybe from the early 20th century era, which I threw out). The violin was looked like an old student violin, not the best, but when I showed the bow to a local music shop, he said it may possibly be an original Glasser. The only mark on it reads MADE IN GERMANY. The mark is some faded now from time obviously. It has an abalone strip on the frog. Is there any possible way to find out if it is a decent Glasser bow, or some other good bow or if it is just some cheap bow. (Sorry, though I’ve been playing for years, my knowledge of bows is very limited). Is there anyone here who would know about how to get more information? Thank you for any help. (Hope the images suffice-I loosened the frog on a couple of them and my CSS coding is lacking)! If you cannot see the images, just go to: plumuniqcreative.com.
