    Welcome to the Forum!

At 52 and knowing nothing about music theory or the Violin, I am also just starting …. what a wonderful adventure!

Just think …. when I know nothing about it – every moment is an oppertunity to learn something new! … Isn’t that wonderful!!

    Love every moment, my friend:
It does not matter if you hit the note you wanted to or not …
It does not matter what someone else does or does not do …
It does not matter that you are five years old or 105 years old …
It does not matter what we did or did not do yesterday as we can not change our memories …
It does not matter what tomorrow will bring – we will wake up or we will not and either way is a start to a wonderful new adventure …

    What DOES matter:
Is living Here and Now ….
Really enjoying each and every moment …
Being grateful for every experience …

If your Heart is telling you to pick up the Violin and to begin this amazing journey then do it!

Michael Sanchez (he is the guy who puts all this together) is an amazingly knowledgable person …. he can advize you on “How” to make this dream a reality AND he can help you physically make it happen.

As I said, I am a RANK beginner and would have had no way of knowing what to do or how to do it … Michael and the rest of the teachers here on Violin Tutor Pro; the many amazing folks at Superior Violins and the other amazing violinists (of all ages and skill levels) here have been of ENORMOUS help in making this happen.

    Again, my friend, welcome.

Good for you! Learning to know the violin is indeed an amazing and wonderful journey, and although it can be discouraging, this site has been a great help, I just wish I had discovered it when I first started! Although I have been playing for a few years I am still a beginner, but have noticed a great improvement in my progress since I started following this site.

Wishing you all lots of good luck and fun with your violin journey. @kevin those are really wonderful and beautiful words!!! My heart told me to pick up the violin too and I haven’t regretted it for one second. 😉

Kevin, you are a poet! I almost cried reading your post in this thread! But I think I was already stirred reading another post you made about your love for your violin! What a romantic, lovely heart you have!
