This was transcribed as a duet for a violin and piano. The violin player in the video below is Itzhak Perlman and he’s one of my favorite violinists.

I’ve heard this song played before, but I’ve never tried it myself. I’d love to, though!
    I vote yes!

This is a tough one to learn. I will vote yes if we can get the sheet music here. 🙂

Here’s a link to the sheet music free on imslp http://imslp.org/wiki/Nocturne_in_C-sharp_minor,_B.49_(Chopin,_Fr%C3%A9d%C3%A9ric) Scroll down to 2.2.1 for the violin part.

Here is the direct link to the music. I vote for this piece! I would suggest it for students that have been playing at least 6 years.

Hey Michael, you said this piece is for someone who study for 6 years, is it sufficient? I asked because I have been playing for about 5 years (just need one more year), and I absolutely love this song. If you said 6 years, then I am not far from being able to play it.

Hey Yinmui, that is just a suggestion–you can definitely attend the class if you feel up to it! Really everyone advances at different levels so I would always evaluate the piece and see if you think it is something you can handle. If yes, then attend the class. 🙂
