My Grandfather is 90 years old and is still doing great. Here is a video of him on Father’s Day playing the violin. His memory is still very sharp and he’s been known to still remember small details of things that happened over 70 years ago. It’s amazing at how much playing the violin helps the mind!

Also…this should be a testimony to anybody that thinks they can’t learn vibrato at a later age. His is amazing! He practices over 3 hours a day.

Your grandfather is doing so well! I always feel so much respect to older people who still lead a normal life. Playing instruments at a later age is very good as it allows to preserve a good memory and keeps you encouraged to live. If you ever ask yourself if you should play any instrument or not, the answer can only be “yes”.
By the way, how long has he been playing violin?

My Grandfather has been playing now for 75 years (crazy to believe). I just hope to live that long! 🙂
