    Learning basic piano has helped me with music theory. The more I read about violinists and violin composers, the more I see that many have learned some piano as well as violin.

    One of the teachers in Michaels group is planning on teaching music theory specifically in some classes. Check the group classes schedule from time to time. Her name is Chantelle.
