I have been playing the violin for 2 years. I starting taking lessons through the Community String Project, My class is a group class for adult students that want to learn a string instrument. We plan in a group setting with other violins, viola, cello, and base students. My goal is to be able to eventually play fiddle music, it was bluegrass that got me hooked. I started my lessons on a $100 dollar fiddle I purchased on eBay and recently purchased a real violin (Elisa Damiano) from Superior Violin. The lessons have been great, I am learning from the ground up, I can actually read music, it is wonderful. I play almost everyday, I take my violin to work and play during my breaks, I am really enjoying playing and being able to read music. I have been playing guitar since I was in my teens, I know all the cords but never really learned the theory, I am starting to understand what makes up a cord, scales and more than I could have every imagined. I really enjoy playing more then I ever did with my guitar, I am verry passionate about my fiddle / violin. :-0)
