Yup, you are very correct. In fact, by keeping the mind fresh and learning new things every day, the brain expands and constantly is able to wrap itself around new ideas. Therefore, never stop learning, and experiencing new thing. 🙂 #nevertooold

Welcome Stephanie! … Follow the passion and harmony of your heart – I am 52 and am just beginning on this wonderful journey and there are older folks here who are also just beginning – you are in good and warm-hearted company.

As Michael says; learning the violin is a marathon not a sprint ….. I highly recommend spending time with his many videos – I do and learn quite a few things every day.

Itzhak Perlman will tell you to take your time and learn slowly – things learned fast are forgotten at the same speed but things learned slowly are retained.

This is a great place to hang out … the evening classes are great also – I always learn a few things there!

Hi, Stephanie. It is a great thing to learn music. Playing the violin and learning music has helped my mind to mature in ways that I can’t imagine.
