Hi All, one of our good friends suggested it might be handy to have a central place where we could all find websites that provide free downloads on sheet music for violin. So I thought this would be a perfect place to start. I hope everyone will try to find one website that provides free violin music and post it here. Thanks!

This is the first site I recommend:

I like Muse Score! The app on the phone allows you to download the songs and playback.

I found a limited amount of free Classical violin music on this site and downloaded a PDF of Kreutzer’s 42 Etudes:

I second Victor. IMSLP is an excellent recourse. I also use Scribd, which has also recently created a sheet music section. But usually, people upload a lot of music under “documents”Scribd

8 notes looks pretty good. Some of it is free. It looks like for $20 a year there are more perks like playback, piano accompaniment, etc.

Violin online has a few good things on it. The music I looked at is what I would classify as the top range of easy.

Ohh This was missed out : http://odogy.com/musicshare/#

One of my FAVORITE sites for contemporary songs, and it features “simplifying” the notes or changing the key on the fly. Check it out!

Thanks for the sites, I’ll have to check them out. Also you might want to check out http://abcnotation.com/ it does require a software download, but has lots of traditional and medieval music
