I’m thinking many of us must have a violin that we dream about owning. I suspect the reasons for not owning one is just as diverse as the number of violins themselves. It could either we don’t own it due to monetary reasons or feeling that you’re just not good enough to justify an upgrade.

I’d love to have an original Guarneri del Gesu. However, that’s never going to be realistic so my dream violin is a Ming Jiang Zhu 909 Guarneri model. I *think* it’s the same as the Artist model on the page but I’m not 100 percent sure. Some day I hope to own it but I can neither afford it at the moment nor can I justify it in the first place since I have a decent quality starter violin that I haven’t mastered yet.

Anyone else have a violin that they’re drooling over and saying “maybe someday”?

Well, mine isn’t too extravagant. I’d love to have a Stratton Skull electric violin. I love the way they look, they’re so cool.

I would want a black electric violin….nothing too expensive.

Hi all! The violin Anteros is referring to is the Ming Jiang Zhu Violin. Click the name of the violin to see it! It is truly a gorgeous instrument. There are videos of Michael playing this violin on the page so you can actually hear what it sounds like.

To Anteros, you do know SuperiorViolins has a payment plan, right? Also, they provide financing for you to get your dream violin if you want it. I recently talked to Michael briefly about this, and how they are willing to help you get the instrument of your dreams. If you would like to ask Michael about financing or a payment plan, please let me know!

Did you know that Ming Jiang Zhu recently passed away? He trained luthiers in his violin making skills, but violins made by him are going to increase in value over the years. Currently Superior Violins has that violin on sale in a package. The Ming Jiang Zhu Violin Package includes a high quality bow and violin case.

Thank you. I’m no where near the point where I would need to buy a new violin – I’ve only had my current one for four months. 🙂 However, I’ll definitely talk to Michael when I’m ready to get a new one.

It’ll be interesting to see if any of the luthier’s Ming Jiang Zhu has trained will come onto their own or if they will just always continue under the Ming Jiang Zhu brand.
