I use backing tracks about 50% of the time. I download YouTube videos so I can slow them down in Amazing Slow Downer so I can learn them at a much slower speed. I also find backing tracks online and use them when I can. I have Band in a Box and still have a lot to learn before I can use it with any comfort. How about you? What do you use or not use?

How do you download YouTube videos for use with amazing slowdowner? That would be awesome. Others I just use CDs from books and slowdowner.

I have a Mac and I use Mac YouTube Downloader (go to google and type in YouTube Downloader to see what is available if you have a PC). It was a free download so I use it so I have the video if I want to SEE how they are fingering the fiddle etc but then just drag it into Amazing Slow Downer so I can change the pitch if needed or definitely change the speed or loop a portion to learn a particularly hard part etc. Best way I know to learn and/or Play along.
