What is the general consensus on Cecilio electric violins? I’ve played guitar for most of my life, but I’ve heard some electric violin played through delays, flangers and chorus effects that sound great. The cost of the Cecilio fits my budget, and I like the style. Are they worth considering,,or more trouble than they’re worth?

My parents bought me one as a christmas gift a few years ago. I found it was heavy and the pegs weren’t set properly. It really tired out my arm and shoulder fast. I know Michael’s electric violins are more expensive, but they are of good quality and he does have financing options if you talk to him about it. https://www.superiorviolins.com/collections/electric-violins

I saw some of their electric violins 2 years ago at NAMM, and thought they were unimpressive. Didn’t bother trying the, Look at David Gage’s violins (about 2K?) which sound quite nice, or check out Yamaha’s new all electric at about 1K (they have other models, too).
