Hi there, Fiddle payer here from the UK been playing fiddle since i was 12 but only recently seriously got into it and haven’t had lessons in years. looking for feedback on how i can reduce the sqeakyness and get a better tone in general. I usually play in Step down/cajun tuning as it has helped be achieve this as my violin lets say isn’t of the best quality but it sounds a lot better when taken a step down. I seem to slide a lot too as i learned Appalachian fiddle predominantly but it has become a habit i need to kick when playing other genres.

    Thanks in advance 🙂

I really loved listening to you!! I think you play very well! It’s definitely not up to me as a beginner to give you tips 😉 I just think it sounded great and I hope I can fiddle like you some day! Thanks for sharing!
