I was 16 and my school orchestra teacher said she needed some session violinists for a pop concert.

So my friend and I went and we were placed among some other violinists and had an hour rehersal. But things were so chaotic we hardly knew what was going on. Then the concert started.

As we had no idea what was happening – as it was a pop concert by a singer we were not familiar with – we did not know the songs or anything. So there we were playing along… only to discover after the set that we had played a completely different piece to what the singer was singing !

Haha… and the best part of it all… we were paid $500 for that night! It was quite memorable 🙂
