Ha. Ok, here is a real question for anyone involved … Alright, what is the future of Classical Music? Not renewed recordings of the same material we’ve been exposed to for centuries, decades, yet the music of the living composers now? What is beyond the edge and lifetime of Glass and Adams. I don’t mean to tip the scale of marketing sales in the terms of what is the future of music … period. After all, writing new classical music doesn’t seem profitable, nor likely will it. Music has already been going into the direction of free; the up and down of a convenient digital age – and what will their dubsteppin’ peers say? The students of new music are here, but will they be just a needle in a haystack of possible stumble upon data? So many questions. Not good. – a
