Hi there and welcome! Maybe Michael Sanchez can set you up with something reasonable? Try e-mailing him through his Superior Violins website. It sounds like, from hearing others speak of him, that he tries to work with everyone on getting a quality instrument they can afford. He seems very genuine and caring and his mission is clearly to help others have fun while learning the violin. Part of that fun is getting an instrument that sounds decent and you don’t have to break the bank to do so. You will also get a lot of excellent and free advice on his website. I swear I don’t work for him, know him personally, or get compensated by him in any way. I just think you landed in the right place. He also has an amazing sale going on so contact him! You will likely be very happy you made the leap. And let me know how it goes if you can:-)
