Hello Tally, I’m a beginner too. 🙂 One of the things I didn’t do from the beginning and it’s been holding me back for some while, is not using my whole bow. I think it’s of great help to immediately get used to use your whole bow. You could just practice long bow strokes on open strings. This is also good to see if you’re bowing straight. Then in the songs you play also try to use as much bow as possible.

And something else that can be really helpful is checking all your notes with a tuner. Of course you tune all 4 strings of your violin. But when you start adding left hand fingers to play the notes, also check with your tuner to see if you’re in tune. Once you’re in tune, listen very carefully to the note. Will help your intonation a lot! 🙂

Good luck to you!!
