I once saw the saying, ‘ we are all perfectly imperfect’ and that is true in your case also. I love Diane’s answer! Why should you let anyone steal your pleasure in violin, when you have chosen that journey?!? And yes, famous composers have often has tough times. Take Tchaikovsky for instance, with his now world famous Violin Concerto. It was greatly criticised when it first came out to the public. They told him it was too complicated, and was ‘ music that stinks to the ear’! Yet now today, he got the last laugh, you could say! Study his life and what he put up with. If he could do it then how much more you and I!!!
