Hey Three Cord Monte…
I have been using a Kun for almost 2 years. I’ve been experiencing a lot left hand tension, so I thought I’d try other shoulder rests. I purchased a Bonmusica and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t set it low enough. I really had to reach to get my chin on top of my violin. Also, the front screw was too long and jabbed me in the chest — making it hard to play because of the nagging poke going on. Now I’m trying a SureTone from Superior Violins. Not sure I like this one either as my violin seems to slip even more. I’m still working with it though, so my final verdict is uncertain at this point. If you have a long neck, the Bonmusica might be the shoulder rest for you.
