Yes the muscle memory from the fretboard is hard to get rid of and change into “violin mode”, I find myself tilting the hand too much to the side like if the violin was a guitar when the violin commands a straighter hand. Also the pressure you need to apply with the fingers on the violin is very minimal compared to a guitar. I think the most difficult part to accept about the violin when learning it is you hear all the youtube videos saying you need to have a solid hold on the instrument but at the same time everything must be super relaxed, that at first is just extremely awkward but after a few months I found it makes sense and it just requires a lot of practice.
