Corn pad is a good idea. I’ve been playing 6 years & recently hired a violin teacher who wants my thumb to fit at neck curve but I’ve always had at a position about where I would play an A on the G string with the tip of my thumb barely rising above the fingerboard.. It’s a minor thing. I’m trying to improve my accuracy to make I’m not flat or sharp from one day to the next.
