My interest started when I saw a video of Vanessa Mae playing and after that she was all about I listened to for awhile. Then one day in fifth grade, some high schoolers and teachers passionate about playing did a presentation for us elementary kids doing some performances and saying they would be offering lessons for free at the high school, but we needed to just pay for a rental. It then dawned on me that my dad still had his violin from high school collecting dust in a closet somewhere. I expressed my interest to my parents, putting particular emphasises on the lessons being free and that I just needed a violin. Your can guess what happen later. Because of Vanessa Mae and high schoolers coming to my school that day, I’m still a passionate player 12 years later. Can you imagine if I missed school that day? I wonder how different and dull my life would be right now lol
