I’m 57 and went back to school for math. I thought if I could do that then I could also try the violin. I play the guitar ( so-so ) and the mandolin ( also so-so), but have always wanted to play the violin. My wife got me a starter violin for my birthday and I haven’t been able to stop playing it since. I use my wife and my cats reactions to judge how things are going. Hahaha. They and my neighbors are very kind about all this. ( Big surprise). I use a mute, that helps a lot. I’ve also learned a lot from this website and Michaels’ book. I highly recommend it. Learning something later in life is very uplifting. You all know this. It’s nice to be part of this community. Thank you all!!!
