Restart is a great way to describe my experience! I played for nine years in school, and was fortunate to grow up in a school system where we had a great orchestra and I could take free school lessons. After graduation, I more or less stopped playing, but always felt that my violin-playing story had been left unfinished. Fast-forward 40 years. I was working in a high-level position in an educational publishing company, working very hard. For my 60th birthday, I decided that it was time to do something for my soul. I’ve been taking lessons now for over two years, and have fallen in love with the violin, possibly for the first time!
